The International Federation of Community Health Centres (IFCHC) is a global federation of Community Health Centres (CHCs) and their national and state/provincial associations around the world. IFCHC fosters global collaboration in community-oriented primary health care and works to expand access to Community Health Centres as an ideal way to advance primary health care and progress on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Decisions regarding the operations and activities of the IFCHC are managed by a Directing Council as outlined in the IFCHC Constitution (2019). IFCHC’s global secretariat is housed at the Canadian Association of Community Health Centres in Toronto, Canada. The IFCHC was first proposed during the 2011 International Community Health Centres conference in Toronto, Canada, and was officially launched in July 2013 by IFCHC’s founding partners.
